AI Journey for Noobs!
There are tons of resources FREE! on AI... and a million more are being created by AI Bots! But you need to make sure you start from the core! Here are based on my interactions with several colleagues and my own amateur experience the Top 3 picks!
For the easy going guys! who need the boiler plates and they cook a fantastic meal later!
#1: Windows AI
Unlike the notorious long lists of learning, where you get lost in versions, Microsoft has done a pretty good job in structuring the contents for noobs like me. I specially recommend to start with No-Code.
Again: What are we doing with so much of fuss around AI: Here is my take of things you need to do before you dive into the confusion of machine over men.
- Remember to ask this question to your self (Why am I search for AI samples)
- What do I want in life?... that's a bit too much! I in less than 10 words explain your problem statement
- In 3 bullet points write the desired results
- Data is everything... do you have enough data? Check my next blog on data... Till then
- Again go back to #2... What is my purpose on earth!
- Repurpose your self, check is 2 and 3 are still valid. Humans evolve so does your purpose!
- If machines don't learn they don't have intelligence, similar to literacy in humans
- Get very basic for your 1st 10 Apps, use a basic ML strategy
- Stick to simple stuff: Pandas, NumPy, SciKit
- If you are like me probably Visual Basic is your most proficient programming language... don't worry you are not alone... simulate a pattern in your data in spreadsheet (aka MS Excel)
- Ensure your ML extracts similar or better patterns... don't expect miracles
- Go back to #2, #3, ask yourself if you want to continue (This is typically day 10 of your first App)
- Hope you are scratching the text books for Regression models by now!
- For example , I like this article:
At this stage you will feel my post very basic and you will move on!
I cant write better than IBM, can I: From IBM Page: -"IBM Watson Studio is an enterprise ready solution that empowers you to implement responsible, explainable AI through model monitoring and management on an end to end, unified data and AI platform."
Here you dive deeper into explaining yourself the problem statement, implementing, managing and exploring other ways of achieving your purpose.
Once you spend about a month here, and still wondering how you can invest in real estate, you decide to go back to your working boiler plate from Microsoft and wonder how naïve the initial approach was.
#3 Google AI
As always known to be innovative Google AI resources boost of being open to all "AI for everyone"... while that may be true, I still recommend greasing your hands with atleast one ready to eat meals. I have never been able to wrap my head around Android Studio itself, so this was a bit tough for me. But its really cool... Fairness Indicator
Google as always, has a way of doing things, with AI, I think they are assuming humans need to evolve, so they are feeding one thing at a time, which works perfectly well for new comers! may not be the Gen 2010's (as they are potential customers to Google for the next 50 yrs duh...)
Well I wish you all the best! more to come here!
